Gary E. Och is a trained mediator who has spent most of his career
representing plaintiffs and defendants in legal disputes. His balance
of plaintiff and defense work allows Mr. Och to identify with all
parties to a dispute and achieve mutually beneficial resolutions.
Consistent with this experience, Mr. Och focuses his mediation services
in employment law, but also handles personal injury and business
disputes.
Mediation is an alternative conflict resolution
process in which participants are assisted by a trained neutral person,
the mediator, in coming to their own agreement about how to solve their
dispute. The mediator makes no decisions for the mediation
participants, but rather assists them to reach common ground on the
issues involved in their dispute. Mediation can be successful in
highly contested cases, so long as there is a basic commitment to
finding a resolution and a basic understanding that an agreement will
not be reached unless it works for both sides.
